Re:       NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING

            TUESDAY, JULY 21, 2009 – 7:00 P.M.

Dear Association Member:

A Special Meeting of the Somerset Property Owners Association (SPOA) will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at the Somerset Clubhouse located at 2400 Aspen Road, Ames, IA 50010.  The meeting has been duly called for the purpose of reviewing the Association’s financial status and holding elections for 7 Board positions and 4 Officer positions.

Attendance at the June 9, 2009 Special Meeting of the Association did not meet the quorum requirement of 60% to allow the election to be held.  In order to conduct a valid election at this subsequent Special Meeting, a quorum of 30% of the Members must be represented in person or by proxy. 

Proxies previously submitted for the June 9, 2009 Special Meeting are still valid for this subsequent meeting.  Proxies may be revoked in person or in writing prior to the call to order of the Special Meeting.

If you wish to submit a new proxy - link to new proxy.  Your Proxy will be returned to you upon your arrival at the meeting should you attend.  As a reminder, in accordance with the Association’s governing documents, an owner must be in good standing with all assessments to participate at a Special or Annual Meeting.
